Description
Designed in 1978 by Evelyne Bertrand, former head of the Hermès equestrian department, the Evelyne bag was initially intended as a carryall for horse groomers to carry their many tools. In addition to the signature “H” perforations, the Hermès Evelyne III features a wide and roomy external pocket and a broad, removable canvas strap that can be worn over the shoulder or crossbody style. True to its original purpose, the Hermès Evelyne PM bag is crafted from Epsom calfskin, this printed leather takes its name from a town in south-east England that is famous for its horse races.
